Berlin in Juli

July was filled with perpetual sunsets, surprise downpours, and some of the usual shenanigans you would expect from a 24 year old living in Europe. It started off with July 4th weekend in Prague and ended with my French BFF Audrey coming to visit Berlin with her childhood BFF Ombline.

Berliners love their flowers. There's a flower shop on almost every corner and Germans love to have fresh florals on the tablescape.

Things I’ve learned in July 2020

  • “High” isn’t always the best heat setting for stove top cooking…even when you’re in a rush. Sometimes a solid “medium” gets the job done. Examples: popcorn, chicken breast, coconut rice

  • A good bar crawl is like chicken soup for the soul

  • If the forecast calls for thunderstorms don't go for a run hoping that it'll be wrong

  • The sound of Berlin summer is falling asleep to people playing table tennis in the park behind your apartment at all hours of the night. It will literally be 4am and the sun is rising and I bet you 50 bucks there are south youths playing outside.
