Keyser Soze, Mitte

Would you rather live in an ugly building that looks out towards a beautiful building or live in a beautiful building that looks out towards an ugly building?

You don't have to choose at Keyser Soze (Tucholskystraße 33, 10117 Berlin). It's one of my favorite spots in Mitte to grab a sidewalk drink. A Sunday afternoon here gives you warm & fuzzy feels but the intersection of Tucholskystraße & Auguststraße is buzzing with the hustle and bustle typical of Mitte.

If there aren't any seats available, stop by:

- Cappuccino Grand Cafe (Tucholskystraße 36, 10117 Berlin) or Cafe Buchhandlung (Tucholskystraße 32, 10117 Berlin) for coffee

- German cafes love selling what they think is "New York Style" cheesecake. Skip these cheap imitations and get a slice of authentic German Käsekuchen at Princess Cheesecake (Tucholskystraße 37, 10117 Berlin). Quark makes this cake extra thick and fluffy.

- Maison Dang (Tucholskystraße 34, 10117 Berlin) for a bowl of pho in the winter.
