Things of Note | No. 1
I would definitely say I’m someone who falls on the more “frugal” side of things, but every now and then I love a lil’ splurge. Before making a big purchase, I’ll let something sit on my wishlist for a few months to see if I realllllly want that thing. This usually knocks out 70% of impulse buys. Here are some things of note that have survived the test of time:
I’m a sucker for stationary. I’ve always collected it and made an effort to send people personalized thank you notes throughout the years. This is my favorite kind - embossed, simple, elegant, and perfect for the special people in your life. I’ve also been eying personalized journals and notebooks - I’m a big fan of this reset guide.
OK, this is my ✨dream bag ✨ as of late. We love a slouchy shoulder bag that can fit all the essentials (wallet, sunglasses, at least three chapsticks) plus room for snacks! After having my fair share of small shoulder bags, I’m on the hunt for something slightttly bigger. This is a decent dupe and this could be a nice alternative.
Every year around this time I get obsessed with the smell of leaves. And I don’t just mean herbs and such… I’m talking about tomato plant leaves, fresh cut grass, and lime tree leaves ripped up and held close to your nose. Zara home had a tomato candle a few years ago which I regret not buying, but this hand cream will be my “plant” purchase of this season. Also patiently working through my Santal scent from Le Labo to go full on with the Thé Noir and channel my inner Rosie Huntington Whiteley. After 6 years, I think it’s finally time to switch up my perfume.
Pointy-toe black boots are my kryptonite. I die for a pointy toe. A square toe is a close second, so I’d consider these as a neutral transition piece into warmer weather.
I am secretly a 40 year old woman because the number one thing on my to-buy list is a woven basket for my apartment entry-way to house all of the winter accessories that I can’t quite put away yet but also have gotten so sick of seeing strewn about right when I enter my apartment. Enter: this woven basket.
I have been deep into shopping for a wedding I’m attending in Paris next month. It’s a wedding in freaking Paris so I need to find the perfect dress (not too dressy but dressy enough, understated but not boring, classy but also unique, the list goes on…). This top/skirt duo hasn’t made the shortlist for the wedding, but I love this kind of pattern season after season (yet don’t own anything remotely like this). It makes me feel like a hot mom vacationing with her family in northern Italy sipping a lil’ champagne cocktail. One day…
